Did you know that investing in regular air duct cleaning can reduce indoor allergens like dust, pollen and pet dander? Air duct cleaning is vital to cleanliness of the air you breathe in.
Since the ventilation system is often the biggest culprit in poor indoor air quality, inspecting the ductwork in your home or business should be a high priority. The SERVPRO Duct Cleaning Process
- The process begins by using patented equipment including a roto-scraper, which aromatically adapts to the ducts shape and diameter while traveling through the duct, removing debris and dirt before vacuuming begins

When grime, odor, and moisture challenges go beyond the scope of your regular janitorial staff, you should call SERVPRO of Rolla.
Commercial carpet cleaning is the best way to preserve and extend the life of carpeting, but proper treatment requires training. SERVPRO Professionals are trained by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), and it is essential for a professional. We are IICRC Certified.
What can you do to keep your carpet in shape? Carpet care starts with keeping the carpet clean and soil out to begin with. By placing mats in the entranceway and high traffic areas, there will be less dirt inside your business. Be sure to vacuum frequently. Vacuuming ensures deposits soils do not penetrate deeply into fibers and cause damage.
Spot and stain control is essential, even if the flooring is colored in a way to make stain detection difficult. Stains will degrade the integrity of the flooring and alter its texture, so professionals will have to respond quickly to any problem areas. Formulated detergents and targeted agitation will normally do the trick. Finally, deep treatment, usually through hot water extraction or encapsulation methods, will need to be done several times a year to remove soils that have become embedded in the carpeting’s fibers. SERVPRO can help with your carpet stains and regular deep treatment.

Does Your Employees Know How to Use A Fire Extinguisher?
10/16/2020 (Permalink)
Do you have a fire extinguisher in your business? Have you asked your employees if they know the correct way to use the extinguisher? A fire extinguisher is one of the most essential pieces of life-saving equipment in your commercial property. While your fire suppression system is excellent for your overall facility, and alarms will ensure the safe evacuation of your employees or tenants, extinguishers provide a direct line of defense and allow for immediate response to manageable fires. With this being said, there is a four-step process known as the P.A.S.S. technique. Let's take a look at them all;
- Pull- The first step is to pull the pin form the extinguisher handle. This will allow the handle to be fully compressed.
- Aim- Aim the flexible rubber hose attached to the nozzle and extend away from the handle toward the fire.
- Squeeze- Squeezing the handle will release the extinguishing agent. The mixture will come out quickly and somewhat powerfully, so be prepared and keep firm aim on the blaze.
- Sweep- Focus on extinguishing the mixture at the base of the fire, you will want to use a sweeping motion. After the fire is out, watch the area and ensure that there are no remaining embers.
Keep everyone in your work place safe with the knowledge of proper procedure of fire extinguishers. If you have any questions regarding the proper technique, you can contact your local fire department for guided help.

Did you know according to the National Fire Protection Association, its estimated that some 370,000 home fires occur each year, costing close to $7 billion in total property damage. In many of these fires, however, the fire starts and is contained in a certain area of a home or business. Even though containment eliminates the necessity for complete demolition and reconstruction, it is still necessary for proper cleaning of soot and smoke to commence, in order to restore your business or home to preloss conditions. Fires are extremely dangerous, leaving you with nothing. Always remember to check your smoke alarms to make sure they are working properly. In a business you need to make sure you check all the outlets, make sure you don't have too much running into one outlet, there are so many different ways to avoid a fire, but so many ways we don't know what to look for that's when you make sure you have a fire marshal check your commercial building often.
