Fungi and mold naturally occur in our environment.  In fact, over 100,000 kinds of fungi have been identified. 

Mold can occur in your home and surrounding areas but mainly is concentrated to areas where moisture is present.  Most  moisture areas in your home are common to the bathroom, kitchen, and basements. Laundry rooms, HVAC units and ductwork could pose a threat also. Mold is not limited to these areas so be aware.

Even higher-than-normal indoor humidity can support mold growth.  Keep indoor humidity below 45%

Mold often produces a strong, musty odor and can lead you to possible mold problem areas.
